Results for Club Shoot 20 November 2011

Look what I found under a pile of papers! Though in fairness, the post from Two Crosses takes its time and I didn’t get them until early December and then – well – the excitement was all too much and they got hidden.

However – seems Keefy has just pipped the maestro by a smidgen of a percent. But they all count do they not? Results are up on the Results page (oddly enough).

It seems that wearing a canoeing hat improves one’s performance somewhat. A good day all round we thought.

Club Shoot Sunday 21 August Cancelled

Apologies for the short notice as I’ve been working very long and early/late hours.

Midlands Champs Re-shoot Results

The results for the 23 July re-shoot are now up on the Results page.

Midlands Championships Re-Shoot

There’s a change to the published date for the re-shoot (shift changes) so this event is now Saturday 23 July (not Sunday 24th).

This should be a great club day as feedback from the Championships was very positive, so if you didn’t get the chance before, or just want to see how you can improve your score, make sure you attend.

Martin & Jo still have Internet problems so don’t use PM on the UKPSA forum. Do let us know if you are coming either by email to Jo (picked up on mobile phone) jo@bordergunspsg.co.uk or reply on the Border Guns forum if you are a registered member.

See you all then!

Midlands Championships 2011 – Results

The results are now up here and on the UKPSA forum.

Congratulations to all who took part and for the Borders pump team in winning the team prize. And some great individual performances too. With 56 registered shooters it confirms the club as a favourite venue for many and what a great match Martin, Jo and (extended) family put on.

Thanks to all of you who helped but especially Mark, Jade and Kim in the catering department, George for being a very able stats runner and Paul and Sam for giving us that professional look with all the signing in place and helping out on the Sunday.

Here’s looking forward to the re-shoot and shooting the redundant buckshot stages once again!

Midlands Championships 2011

With over 50 shooters registered, we still have a few spaces available for Sunday 10 July. To register follow the Match Registration link in the right sidebar. As Internet connections are still causing problems at the range, also call Jo Davies on 01588 640 002 to be sure of a place.

As a reminder to new shooters, you have to be a current member of UKPSA, have completed an IPSC Shotgun (Basic Safety) Course and have gained a Competition Pass to take part.

We are looking forward to seeing you all there and have a great match (nearly) built so all we need you to do is bring yourselves and some good Welsh Marches weather!

Match Build Days

With the upcoming Midlands Championships over 8-10 July now upon us, we need all hands to help build if you can.

As a result of Martin’s shift changes we have had to change the dates slightly so we are now looking for work parties:

  • This Saturday 25 June
  • and

  • Saturday 2 July
  • Also if anyone can get down during the week commencing 4 July, you will be very welcome!

In all cases bring some old clothes and work gloves and as ever, waterproof clothing.

If in doubt, give Jo a call on 01588 640 002

Results for Club Shoot 11 June

The results are now here and what a great day’s shooting. As ever a huge thanks to Jo and Martin for all their efforts and to all of you who made it a most enjoyable day. Even the monsoon at lunchtime was perfect timing!

Next event is a build weekend on 2 and 3 July ahead of the Midlands Championships (L3) on 8-10 July.

    IPSC Shotgun Course May 7-8

    IPSC Safety Course May 2011

Congratulations to the four students who all passed with Competition Licenses despite the traditional, authentic Welsh Marches rain that always seems to accompany these events.
But of course with one-to-one tuition what could you expect? We like the natty-new Trainer’s garb – shame about the colour but you can’t win them all!
